Almond Village Board Regular Meeting
July 13, 2026

Present: B. Roehrborn, D. Johnson, D Schultz, D. Warzynski, W. Tomczak T. Manske, K. Wellens, H Burns

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
The Pledge of Allegiance was said.
D. Warzynski made a motion, seconded by T. Manske to approve the minutes from the June meeting. Motion approved 6-0.
Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by D. Schultz to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 6-0.
Finance report: D. Johnson gave the finance report. D. Schultz made a motion, seconded by T. Manske to approve the bills. Motion approved 6-0.
Operator’s Licenses: D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by D. Warzynski to approve operator licenses to: Kimberly Sturn, Gina Clark, Mariah Waltz-for Firecracker Too.
Public Input – Chris Leary wants approval for putting a garage on the property. Must send a plan to the zoning administrator for approval. Approval was given to remove the bridge and close the sidewalk on the east side of main street.
Public Works –Sidewalks to be done the second & third week of August.
Property – Tree by Bud Leary’s ready to fall. Pushing up the sidewalk. Yet to determine who’s to remove it.
Fire/EMS – Air packs from Plover are in service, Heater exchange is installed, waiting for a new switch. Air Trailer tanks got calibrated. New trailer has lettering on it and is being painted inside, station lights over the trucks are being installed. DNR Grant has been submitted, waiting for approval.
Ordinance/Personnel – Warren plans to remove the semitrailer by his house at 235 Blane St.
Snowplowing sidewalks-The home owners have 24 hours from the end of the storm to clear their sidewalks. Then if it is not cleared the Village will come in and remove it for $100.00/hour to be charged to the homeowners on their taxes. First suggestion- keep doing them. Second suggestion – stop doing sidewalks. D. Warzynski made a motion, seconded by D Johnson to put this back on the agenda next month. Trying to get public input on snow removal of sidewalks. Motion passed 6-0
Cemetery –Nothing
Beautification – None
Media/Sewer – Sewer running low on money. Revisit next month on the lagoon. Get prices for piping and tree removal.
Equipment – None
