Board Minutes October 14, 2019

Present: J. Riggenbach, B. Roehrborn, R. Burns, H. Burns, C. Smith, S. Bunders, K Trzebiatowski, C. Schmidt

Pledge of Allegiances

President K. Trzebiatowski called the meeting to order at 6:00pm.

J. Riggenbach made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to accept the September minutes.  Motion approved 3-0.

Treasurer’s Report:  H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report.  S. Bunders made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to accept the Treasurer’s report.  Motion approved 3-0.

Finance report was given by S. Bunders.  J. Riggenbach made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to accept the finance report.  Motion approved 3-0.

Fire:  Chief Dan Folan requested permission to store the Portage County “Smokehouse” on our property by the firehouse.  J. Riggenbach made a motion, seconded by S. Bunders to allow our fire department to store the “Smokehouse” on our property.  Motion approved 3-0.  Chief Dan will check on our liability of storing this, making sure there will none to us.

Properties:  None

Public Works – Roads – K. Trzebiatowski went to the meeting on September30th for the LRIP grant.  The application must be in by October 26, 2019.  Their next meeting will be November 6, 2019.

Ordinance/Personnel – Carol asked for permission for Heather and herself to attend a Municipal Treasurer & Clerk’s meeting on October 23 at 6pm, at the county Annex.  B. Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by J. Riggenbach to allow the clerk and treasurer to attend this meeting.  Motion passed 5-0

Review/Action on Raze property:  The board reviewed the bids for razing the property on 247 Blaine St.  After much discussion, B. Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by J. Riggenbach to go with Kyle Kluck Trucking and Excavating.  Motion passed 5-0

Finance:  The board was given a copy of our annual audit and asked to review it.

Equipment – The generator still is not working.  There is something wrong with the motor.  Dan Folan said he would look at it.  B. Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to have Dan see what he can do with it.  Motion passed 5-0.

Cemetery – None

Zoning – There have been a couple of permits given out for home repairs.

Beautification – None

Tire Roundup – This has been going well.

Operator’s license-J. Riggenbach made a motion, seconded by B. Roehrborn to deny the issuance of an operator’s license due to the past history of Sarah A. Frausto.  Motion passed 5-0

There has been a problem with people going into the Pagel subdivision and having to turn around because there is no outlet.  It was suggested there be a “No Outlet” signed installed at the entrance to help lessen the confusion.

S. Bunders made a motion to adjourn, seconded by C. Schmidt.  Motion passed 5-0
