Almond Village Board Regular Meeting
January 10, 2022
Present: R. Burns, D. Johnson, B. Roehrborn, K. Olson, G. Otto, C. Schmidt, H. Burns, C. Smith,

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
R. Burns made a motion, seconded by G. Otto to approve the December minutes. Motion approved 5-0.
Treasurer’s Report: H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. R. Burns made a motion, seconded by K. Olson to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion approved 5-0.
Finance – D. Johnson gave the finance report. K. Olson made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to pay the bills. Motion approved 5-0.
Discussion was held as to if the sewer should pay their portion of the Village Insurances. K. Olson made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to have the sewer pay their portion for insurance. Motion approved 5-0
Fire/EMS –New fire truck is here and is in service. Sold the other older truck for $3000.00. Dwight Bowden donated $10,000.00 to the Fire and EMS departments in honor of his wife Marge. Fire will use some of the money to equip Engine 3. EMS is undetermined at this time.
Public Works –None.
Properties – Signs for the dump are on hold until they can get the materials to make them.
Ordinance/Personnel – Randy is going on vacation, so if it snows might need a backup person to help at that time. Greg Otto said he might be able to.
Equipment –Sweeper is fixed. Snowblower required a new running gear for $1800.00. They are still working on the Jetter. Waiting for an electrical unit to be installed on the plow truck.
Zoning –none
Cemetery – None
Beautification – none
Media/Sewer Clerk –Recent issue of the village newsletter was received well with great feedback from village residents.
Planning Commission – None
Next Board will be on February 14, 2022 at 5:00pm
K. Olson made a motion, seconded by G. Otto to adjourn. Motion passed 5-0
