Board Regular Meeting

 April 11, 2022

Present: R. Burns, D. Johnson, B. Roehrborn, K. Fenske, G. Otto, C. Schmidt, K. Olson H. Burns, C. Smith,

Visitors:  David Schauer, Lori Helmrick, Tom Pagel, Nicole Kniprath

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn

Pledge of Allegiance was said.

K. Olson made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to approve the March minutes.  Motion approved 6-0.

Treasurer’s Report:  H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report.   K. Olson made a motion, seconded by G. Otto to accept the Treasurer’s report.  Motion approved 6-0.   

Finance – D. Johnson gave the finance report.   K. Olson made a motion, seconded by K. Fenske to pay the bills.  Motion approved 6-0.

Public Input – Nicole Kniprath asked if they could cut down some pine trees that are on the village right of way near their property of 212 Webster St.  G. Otto made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to grant her request to cut the trees with Dave’s approval at no cost to the village.  Motion approved 6-0

Cliff from Dee’s bar had contacted Brian and asked if the village would extend the request to install a grease trap in his establishment by 90 days.  The board agreed.

Fire/EMS –G. Otto updated the board with information about billing and receiving payment for fire calls.  This is a work in progress at this time

Public Works – R. Burns is looking to get road repair costs for the corner of School and County Rd D fixed.    He is still waiting for phone calls to be returned on this.

Properties – None

Ordinance/Personnel – They had a meeting on April 4, 2022. The committee discussed in great length that the Village will look at catching the Village employees up in pay in 2023.  This will be further discussed before budget time.

Kevin Fenske handed in his resignation to be effective immediately.

Equipment – Al Pagel is looking to sell his pay loader that the Village leases for snow removal.  Discussion was held on what we need to do in place of this.

The update on the Jetter is: the camera was not working, so a different one is being installed.  The cutter needs to be replaced.  Also, discussion was held on if all the lines should be done every year, or just a portion.

So far Dave has not found any snowblowers on sale to purchase.  If anyone finds one, please let him know.

Zoning –There were two permits issued, one for gutters and one was to update gas tanks underground.

Cemetery – Need someone to mow this summer.  Dave will get information to Heather so she can post on Facebook and the web site. If anyone in interested please contact Dave.

Beautification – Will look into purchasing replacement banners and brackets.  

Media/Sewer Clerk –We are still working on the changing our Domain name according to WEC recommendations. 

Planning Commission – None

Open Book is set for Monday April 19, 2022 from 12:30 to 2:30pm.  This is a change.

Board of Review is set for Monday May 9, 2022 from 3:30-5:30pm

The signs that were ordered for the dump have arrived and will be installed.

Next Board will be on May 9, 2022 at 5:00 pm

Also, in May look at times for the June 13th meeting as Brian will be gone.
