Board Regular Meeting
September 12, 2022

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
G. Otto made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the August 8, 2022 minutes. Motion approved 6-0.
Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 6-0.
Finance Report – D. Johnson gave the finance report. G. Otto made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve paying the bills. Motion approved 6-0.
Public Input –None
Discussion/Action Dee’s Bar & Grill – Clifford Williams appeared before the board to request closure of Division St from CTY A to 2nd St on September 24, 2022 from 9am to 4pm for a car show. This would include refreshments and music. Motion was made by L. Helmrick and seconded by G. Otto to approve Clifford’s request to close the street. Motion approved 6-0.
Fire/EMS – Reported by G. Otto – Fire/EMS had their annual fundraiser this past Sunday with much success. The Joint Fire committee met and elected the same officers as in the past. Dan Folan told them he is planning on retiring at the end of next year.
Public Works – A1 has paved the area of School St. that needed the repair. Buses are instructed not to use any of the side streets to cut across to Elm St to get to the school. Coming into the village from the west they are to go from CTY D to main street, then turn onto Elm St to get to the school.
Properties – None
Ordinance/Personnel – Discussion held on 1212 CTY RD D. Ordinance committee will draft and send another letter of compliance. There will be a Personnel meeting on Thursday September 15, 2022 at 6:00pm to discuss wages and mileage for budget purposes for 2023.
There will be a budget workshop on October 17, 2022 at 5: 00pm to go over the budget for 2023.
Equipment – Need repairs to the snow removal equipment before the snow flies. The village pickup needs at least 2 new tires. The Jetter has been working great, except the camera quite working on it. Will contact former salesman who sold equipment to the village as he is able to complete repairs.
Zoning –New roof repair and bathroom repair.
Cemetery –Corner fence is in disrepair and will be looked at
Beautification – None
Media Sewer/Clerk –Need to find material to use for the bills. We are about out of what we are using. Will be looking into this, and other options for billing sewer.
The board decided the date for Halloween will be Friday October 28, 2022, 5-7pm
Next Board will be on October 10, 2022 at 5:00 pm by agreement
R. Burns made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to adjourn. Motion passed 6-0
