Board Regular Meeting

December 12, 2022

Present: R. Burns, D. Johnson, T. Pagel, G. Otto, L. Helmrick, C. Schmidt, H. Burns, C. Smith, B. Roehrborn

Visitors:  David Schauer

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn.

Pledge of Allegiance was said.

R. Burns made a motion, seconded by T. Pagel to approve the November 14, 2022 minutes.  Motion approved 5-0.

Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report.  L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by R.   Burns to approve the treasurer’s report.  Motion approved 5-0.

Finance Report – D. Johnson gave the finance report.  R. Burns made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve paying the bills.  Motion approved 5-0.

Public Input –None

Fire/EMS – Joint fire meeting on December 21, 2022 to finalize the Fire Department User Fees.  Lucas training on Tuesday of this week.  Then it can go in service.  Years of service awards were handed out at the December Fire meeting.

Public Works – Chris Electric was delivering the new generator and it fell off the trailer.  Only offer was to extend the warranty to ten years instead of five.  The board decided to wait for a new unit.

Dave needs to coordinate with the snowplow operators and get them trained/instructed as to what is needed to be done when we have a snow event.

Collection site-recycle bin had gotten frozen with the rain/cold mixture.  A different type of tarp was suggested as an additional cost of frozen dumpster is $35.00 a dumpster to get them unthawed.

Properties – None

Looking for new lights for our street lights as they are starting to fail and need replacing. With going to LED lights will be about a $400.00 annual operational cost reduction.

Zoning – One windows installation and one roof repair

Beautification – None

Media/Sewer Clerk – Newsletter about ready to go out next week.  Heather is working on discontinuing Workshop-our program for sewer billing.  They will be getting a backup done for us.

Dump will be closed on Christmas Eve Day-December 24th, but will be open on Monday December 26th, the day after Christmas.

Heartland farms has done some landscaping to level off the dump for us.  At no cost to the Town/Village.

The Village Caucus will be held on January 16, 2023 at 4:45pm
