Joint Fire Committee Meeting
Tuesday April 16, 2024

Present were: Matt Lemke, Kip Gutke, R. Hetzel, B. Roehrborn, G. Otto, Lori Helmrick, Dennis Schultz and Carol Smith

Meeting called to order by R. Hetzel at 7:12pm
Greg Otto made a motion, seconded by Lori Helmrick to approve the minutes from the August 30, 20231 meeting. Motion approved 7-0
Dennis Schultz explained the SOG. The board recommended that Dennis should check with other departments to see if they had a lawyer look over this type of document and what it might cost.
Dennis Schultz presented the committee with a new Automatic Aid Agreement with Bancroft asking them to cover all of our fire area that Almond covers. This would bring on three more fire fighters if they cover our entire area. This will help our fire rating.
Brian Roehrnborn made a motion, seconded by Matt Lemke to approve the new mutual aid agreement with the Bancroft Fire Department. Motion approved 7-0
Our Current fire chief will be retiring and the department is planning a retirement party for him on June, 3, 2024 at 6:00pm and everyone is invited.
There is going to be an active shooter training on June 6, 2024
Brian Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by Greg Otto to adjourn. Motion approved.
