Board Regular Meeting
April 14, 2025
5:00pm

Present: B. Roehrborn, D. Johnson, D. Schultz, D. Warzynski, L. Helmrick, W. Tomczak, C. Smith, H Burns

Visitors: G. Otto

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn

Pledge of Allegiance was said.

L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to approve the minutes from the March 10, 2025 board meeting.  Motion approved 5-0.

Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report.  W. Tomczak made a motion, seconded by D. Warzynski to approve the treasurer’s report.  Motion approved 5-0.

D. Warzynski made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to transfer $50.000 from the sewer account into the Sewer Replacement fund.  Motion approved 5-0

Finance report:  D. Johnson gave the finance report. D. Warzynski made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the bills.  Motion approved 5-0.    

Public Input – None

Public Works – Discussion on what sidewalks to do this year.  D. Warynski made a motion, seconded by D. Schultz to spend up to $4750.00 for sidewalk repair.  The homeowners that are abutting these sidewalks will be paying one-half of the cost for the sections in front of their properties. Motion approved 5-0.

Fire/EMS – We are in a high-risk fire situation right now.  Please be aware of this.  Watch social media with updates and the Smokey the Bear signs.

Properties – Going to fix the fencing around the fuel tanks that need repair.  Rubber on the bottom of the garage doors need replacing.  Wally to get quotes.  Insurance will be going up next year.

Ordinance/Personnel –Need to update employee manual and review wages.

Equipment – Possible get a lighter, smaller pusher.  Some thought it worked just fine this year.  Need to start looking for a different village truck.  L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to look for a one-ton, four-wheel drive with a utility box for up to $15,000.00.  Motion approved 5-0

Zoning – None

Cemetery – D. Schultz made a motion to raise the cost of the cemetery plots to $600.00 and perpetual care to $250.00

Beautification – Working on the banners

Greg put in a request to possibly get a shop vac, back pack leaf blower, and a snow blade.

Open Book will be held on April 30, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM

Board of Review will be on May 12, 2025 from 4-6 pm

Next meeting May 12, 2025 at 5:00 pm

W. Tomczak made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to adjourn.  Motion approved 5-0
