Board Regular Meeting

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by L. Hemrick to approve the minutes from the May 12, 2025 board meeting. Motion approved 5-0.
Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by W Tomczak to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 5-0.
Finance report: D. Johnson gave the finance report. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve the bills. Motion approved 5-0.
Public Input –None
Public Works – Continue to get the sidewalks done
Discussion/approval on the CMAR Resolution #120 – L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to approve the CMAR Resolution #120 for the sewer. Motion approved 5-0.
Fire/EMS – Approval to get Tanker 6 sold on the auction block. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to sell Tanker #6 and the money is to go back to the Town and Village general funds. After it is sold, we will determine how much is given back to the members fund. Motion approved 5-0. Discussing was held on reimbursing new and old members for training at $10.00/hour. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to pay $10.00/hr for the schooling and training for the new and old members of the fire and EMS, with the new members signing a two-year contract commitment with the department upon completion of the class. If they do not complete the course or the number of years, they must reimburse the department. Motion approved 5-0.
Discussion was held on health testing for the fire department members. No action.
Properties – Send out lawn mowing notices for failure to mow properties.
Ordinance/Personnel –A change has been made to Ordinance 4-2-2 SIDEWALK CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR to read: “Any repairs made to the sidewalks shall be paid at the rate of one-half (1/2) by the village and one-half (1/2) by the abutting property owner. Property owners need to pay their portion to the Village no later than the First Monday in October. If payment is not received by the Village from the abutting property owner, a service fee of $25.00 and the amount owed to the Village will be added to the property tax bill. (Am ord. passed 6-9-25)” D. Schultz made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve this change to the ordinance 4-2-2. Motion approved 5-0.
Zoning – Permits for a fence, driveway and windows
Equipment – Work needs to be done on the auger for the snowplow. Jetter needs work done.
Personnel – The committee recommended giving Greg a $1.00/ hr raise when he gets his 1000 hours completed for his certificate operator-in-charge license. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to give him a dollar/hour when he received this license. Motion approved 5-0.
D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve giving Selena-Elton, Garcia a $1.00 raise for working at the collection site. Motion approved 5-0.
