Board Regular Meeting
September 8, 2025

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by D. Schultz to approve the minutes from the August 11, 2025 meeting. Motion approved 5-0
Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. C. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 5-0.
Finance report: D. Johnson gave the finance report. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve the bills except to hold back the checks for the fire Depts. Motion approved 5-0.
Discussion/Action on Class B Liquor/Beer License application for Firecracker Too. D. Schultz made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to approve the liquor/beer licenses for Firecracker Too. Motion approved 5-0
Discussion/Action on operator’s licenses for, Alliana Pionke, Deborah Fahser, Angela Willie, Hazel Fahser, Angel Friday, Robin Miller, Louis Vossekuil, D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the request for operator licenses. Motion approved 5-0
Discussion/action on a request from Dee’s Bar & Grill to close Division Street from CTY A to 2nd street on September 27, 2025 from 9:00am to 3:00 pm for a car show and 3:00 to 6:00pm for a band. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to approve this request. Motion approved. 5-0.
Public Works – Sidewalls are done for this year. Mike Naker gave a presentation on sludge removal for the lagoon. The board will discuss this further at the next board meeting. Brenda Newby appeared before the board with concerns from alley way onto Oak Stret. The board will look into this.
Fire/EMS –The generator for the station has been installed.
Ordinance/Personnel – None
Properties – Cement has been installed at the Newby building
Equipment – The village purchased a 2001 Ford F-350 pickup truck to replace the current truck for $12600.00 plus costs for a total of $13860.00. C. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to have the sewer pay 25% of the purchase cost to the village for the truck. Motion approved 5-0. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to have Greg sell the current pickup truck with a starting price of $2500.00 with reducing every two weeks if need be. With the sale of this pickup truck the village will get 75% and the sewer will get 25%. Motion approved 5-0.
C. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to purchase stickers to put on the side of the pickup and plow trucks. Motion approved 5-0

Beautification – None
Media/Sewer – None
Date set for Halloween Trick or Treating in the village will be October 31, 2025 5-7pm.
A Personnel meeting will be held on October 6, 2025 at 5:00pm to go over personnel and wages before the budget meeting.
A Budget workshop meeting will be held on October 15, 2025 at 6:00pm to go over the 2026 budget.

L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to adjourn. Motion approved 5-0
