Board Regular Meeting
November 10, 2025

Visitors: Greg Otto, Warren Dombrowski, Joan Rohde, Bob Rohde
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve the minutes from the October 13, 2025 meeting. Motion approved 5-0
Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. L. Hemrick made a motion, seconded by D. Schutz to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 5-0.
Finance report: D. Johnson gave the finance report. C. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the bills. Motion approved 5-0.
Discussion/Action on operator licenses for Roxanne Rae Cantu for Firecracker Too. D Johnson made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the license. Motion approved 5-0
Public Input – Warren Drombrowski appeared before the board to discuss the notice he received about living in his mobile trailer home.
Public Works –L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve collection site percentage to 40.06/59.94% with start date of Jan1, 2026. Motion approved 5-0
Groundwater Advisory – President Roehrborn appointed Dylan Warzynski to be the Village of Almond representative to the Portage County Groundwater citizens advisory committee.
Fire/EMS –Need to review the fire department ordinance as pertaining to burning permitted in village.
Properties – Salt shed is almost done.
L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to adjourn into the Budget Proposal Public Hearing. Motion approved 5-0. After questions on various parts of the budget from Bob and Joad Rohde, Bob Rohde made a motion, seconded by Joan Rohde to approve the 2026 Budget proposal for the Village of Almond. Motion approved. 5-0
C. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by D. Warzynski to return to the regular meeting of the Almond Village Board. Motion approved 5-0.
L. Helrmick made a motion, seconded by D. Warzynski to approve the budget of $346,630.17 with a levy limit of $81.191.00 for 2026. Motion approved 5-0
Ordinance/Personnel – None
Equipment – Equipment ready for snow
Cemetery – None
Beautification – got material for the final banner
Media/Sewer – News articles due by December meeting
D. Johnson was looking into the LRIP program for doing roads for 2026. We got approved for this.

L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to adjourn. Motion approved 5-0
