Almond Village Board Regular Meeting
February 9, 2026

Present: B. Roehrborn, D. Johnson, D. Warzynski, L. Helmrick, H. Burns, C. Smith, W. Tomczak

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the minutes from the January meeting. Motion approved 4-0.
Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. W. Tomczak made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 4-0.
Finance report: D. Johnson gave the finance report. D Johnson made a motion, seconded by L Helmrick to approve the bills, plus approval of three checks to pay tax payments to Almond-Bancroft School, Mid State Tech College and Portage County Treasurer when we get the figures. Motion approved 4-0.
Public Input – None
Public Works –None
Fire/EMS –Discussion was held on repairs to the make-up furnace in the fire house. One quote was for $13,068.44 and another for $11,907.16. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by D. Warzynski to pay for the repairs for the make-up furnace from the fire dept money market account. Not to exceed $13,000.00 as the quotes received will soon be outdated. Motion approved 4-0.
Fire Chief is retiring in June. Need to find a replacement,
Properties -Sidewalk discussion. Will table until next meeting.
Renewal on COM2 contract – D. Warzynski made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to renew the contract with COM2 for another year. Motion approved 4-0.
Ordinance/Personnel – Nothing
Equipment –Broom brushes will need to be replaced sometime.
Zoning – None
Cemetery –None
Beautification – None
Media/Sewer – None
