Village Board Regular Meeting

September 9, 2024

5:00pm

Present: B. Roehrborn, D. Johnson, D. Schultz, D. Warzynski, L. Helmrick, C. Schultz, W. Tomczak, C. Smith, H Burns

Visitors:  Greg Otto, Clifford Williams, Art Pagel

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn

Pledge of Allegiance was said.

D. Warzynski a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve the minutes from the July 8, 2024 board meeting.  Motion approved 6-0.

Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report.  D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to approve the treasurer’s report.  Motion approved 6-0.

Finance report:  D. Johnson gave the finance report.  D. Warzynski made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve the bills.  Motion approved 6-0

Public Input-None

Cliff Williams from Dee’s Bar & Grill appeared before the board to request closure of Division Street from CTY A to 2nd Street on September 28, 2024 from 9:00am to 3:00pm for a car show and from 3:00pm top 6:00pm for a band.  This would include refreshments.  L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to approve this request.  Approved 6-0

Public Works- Jetting to start shortly-will let the public know when and what areas

Fire/EMS – Annual fundraiser was held this past Sunday.  Great turnout.

Properties –Discussion on salt shed repairs.

Ordinance/Personnel – Greg is due to get his CDL.  An ordinance letter was sent to Scott Boelter in regards to the condition of his house. Devon Austin at 1164 CTY RD D has not put up his privacy fence yet.

Equipment – Greg has been looking into different pushers for the wheel loader incase the one we have is too big.

Zoning – One lean-to to cover a driveway

Cemetery – Work is being done to the walls that needed repairs.  Should be finished shortly.

Beautification – None

Media/Sewer Clerk – The Village Facebook has started a friendly challenge asking its followers to identify the word “Almond” posted throughout the Village.

Halloween in the village will be October 25, 2024 from 5-7PM.  If you want people to stop, put on a porch light.  The Lions Halloween will be at the school later that evening.  Watch for their schedule.  The Fire Dept will also be holding Halloween at this time 5-7PM

Next meeting October 14, 2024 at 5:00 pm

Still waiting to hear when they are going to do the Maple Street Project.

Discussion/Action on Property Jim Johnson has a permit to put two containers and a  cement  pad which algin’s with the existing building on this property.  After discussion it was determined what he has done is what is on his current building/zoning permit. 

C. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by W. Tomczak to adjourn.  Motion approved 6-0
