Village of Almond Board Minutes December 8, 2014

Village Board Meeting December 8, 2014   Members Present: D. Helmrick, B. roehrborn, K. Olson, K. Stucker, R. Burns. Visitors: Dan Folan   President K. Trzebiatowski called the meeting to order at 7pm.
  1. Roehrborn made a motion and seconded by R. Burns to approve the minutes of the November meeting. Motion carried 5-0.
  2. Helmrick made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to accept the Treasurers report. Motion carried 5-0.
  3. Olson made a motion and seconded by K. Stucker to approve the December disbursements. Motion carried 5-0.
  4. Olson made a motion and seconded by R. Burns to hire Gene Coyle to work at the Collection Site. Motion carried 5-0.
  5. Stucker made a motion and seconded by B. Roehrborn to pay Gene Coyle $10.00 an hour. Motion carried 5-0.
  6. Roehrborn made a motion and seconded by K. Olson to charge $145.00 an hour for Business Snowplowing if after consultation with the Insurance Co we are covered for Liability. Motion carried 5-0.
American Legion Post #339 has petitioned the Village to Abandon and Discontinue an Undeveloped and Unimproved Alley to the South of the American Legion Hall. The actual hearing on the Petition will take place at the February 9, 2015 meeting. The Referendum to pay for the reconstruction of Elm St, from Main St/County Road J to County Road D by increasing the Tax Levy over the State Limit.  Passed by 63 Yes Votes to 33 No Votes.  This now gives us permission to borrow and not to exceed $312,000.00 to pay for the reconstruction.   Caucus January 12, 2015 at 6:30pm Next Meeting January 12, 2015 at 7pm   Jaclyn Lemke, Clerk
