Village of Almond Board Minutes June 11, 2018

Members Present: K. Trzebiatowski, B Roehrborn, R. Burns, J. Riggenbach, S. Bunders, C Schmidt, H. Burns, C. Smith Visitors: D. Folan, J. Schwarz, Mark Garlow President K. Trzebiatowski called the meeting to order at 7:00pm B. Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by J. Riggenbach to accept the May minutes. Motion carried 5-0 Treasurer’s Report- H Burns gave the treasurer’s report. S. Bunders made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion carried 5-0 Public Input-None Check Signatures-A motion was made by B Roehrborn, seconded by S. Bunders to require three signatures on all checks issued. Motion carried 5-0 Finance Reports-R. Burns gave the financial reports. Motion by B. Roehrborn, seconded by J. Riggenbach to accept the finance reports. Motion carried 5-0 Fire-None Properties-Craig Newby is not going to pursue blacktopping at this time. The village will proceed as planned west of the village office. Public Works-None Ordinance-S. Bunders made a motion, seconded by C Schmidt to accept the updated employee handbook that was presented at the May meeting. Motion carried 5-0 J. Riggenbach made a motion, seconded by S. Bunders that, this revised addition of the employee handbook supersedes all employee handbooks of the Village of Almond. Effective July 1, 2018. Motion carried 5-0 K. Trzebiatowski introduced a new ordinance Chapter 14, License Ordinance. The board will read and think about this and bring back to the next meeting. Equipment-None Cemetery-Sold one plot Beautification-None Zoning-There have been a couple of permits issued for siding and fencing. News Letter-H. Burns requested all articles be sent to her by June 22. These can be emailed to her home. QuickBooks-B. Roehrborn gave quotes of possible purchases of QuickBooks. S. Bunders made a motion, seconded by J. Riggenbach to purchase a two seater QuickBooks Pro program for the office. Motion carried 5-0 Office Hours- Office hours set for the clerk are Tuesday and Wednesdays 9:00am til 2:00pm. Rest of the days by appointment by calling the clerk’s office or personal phone. B Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to accept these new hours. Motion carried 5-0 Class B Beer & Liquor License-C. Schmidt made a motion, seconded by S. Bunders to grant Class B Beer & Liquor Licenses to Dee’s LLC and Garlow’s Bar & Grill LLC. Motion carried 5-0 S. Bunders made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to deny a Class B Beer & Liquor License to Nauta Enterprises Inc. dba Fuel Stop as they are delinquent in personal property and property tax payments. Motion carried 5-0. Class B Beer License-J. Riggenbach made a motion, seconded by B Roehrborn to grant a Class B Beer License to the Almond American Legion #339. Motion carried 5-0 Picnic and Wine License-R. Burns made a motion, seconded by S. Bunders to approve a Picnic and Wine License for the Almond Lions Club for the dates of July 27 thru July 28, 2018. Cigarette License-J. Riggenbach made a motion, seconded by S. Bunders to grant a cigarette license to Garlow’s Bar & Grill LLC. Motion carried 5-0 Operators-B. Roehrborn made a motion, seconded by J. Riggenbach to grant operator licenses to: Billie Riske, Ken Trzebiatowski, Jim Williams, Debbie Bunk, Kurt Gutke, Robert Gutke Jr., Madeleine Gutke, Joe Meyer, Robert Gutke III, Jeff Heise, Dylan Warzynski, Cortney Baron, Rochelle York, Cory Methfessal, Greg Otto, Carol Brewer, Kayla Wellens, Steve Leary, Amy Schmidt, Brian Volk, Mikayla Meyer, Chealsie Cote ,Kim Meyers, Roxanne Johnson, Mark Garlow, Jenny Schwarz. Motion carried 5-0 President Trzebiatowski handed out this year’s audit report to the board. Next meeting will be July 9, 2018 Adjourn-S. Bunders made a motion, seconded by C.
