Board Regular Meeting
February 13, 2023
Present: R. Burns, D. Johnson, T. Pagel, C. Schmidt, L. Helmrick, H. Burns, C. Smith, B. Roehrborn
Visitors: David Schauer, Art Pagel, Jim Johnson, Pierce S Meighan
Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn.
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
Public Input – Jim Johnson appeared before the board to discusses charges on his various properties. He went through each to state what the charges were and what he thought they should be and why and to identify all the properties with charges correctly. R. Burns made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick to remove Account Number 43 as that is a duplicate charge, change #88 from $47.00 to $56.40, change #167 from $56.40 to $47.00, change #181 from $103.40 to $47.00, change #190 from $117.50 to $56.40. Motion carried 5-0.
L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by R. Burns to approve the January 16, 2023 minutes. Motion approved 5-0.
Treasurer’s report – H. Burns gave the treasurer’s report. D. Johnson made a motion, seconded by T. Pagel to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 5-0.
Finance Report – D. Johnson gave the finance report. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve paying the bills. Motion approved 5-0.
Discussion/Action New account standards GASB 87. R. Burns made a motion, seconded by L. Helmrick that the village board choses to not implement this lease standard (GASB 87) and not follow the reporting requirements. Motion approved 5-0.
Fire/EMS – Joint Fire did not meet on February 8th, but will meet on March 1, 2023 at 6:00PM. Fundraiser for the fall chicken/porkchop dinner will possibly be a new generator.
Public Works – R. Burns reported the pad for the generator at the lift station will be repositioned.
Properties – None
Ordinance/Personnel – None
Zoning – one remodel
Noted that the village sweeper has broken after just being repaired.
Cemetery-Got a bid on wall repairs.
Beautification – None
Media/Sewer Clerk – None
Discussion on applying for a DNR Grant to do E-Cycling. Board decided against it.
Art Pagel informed the board that a group from the village are interested in having a village rummage sale. Someone will come before the board to further update us on it.

L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to adjourn. Motion approved 5-0
