Board Regular Meeting
March 11, 2024

Meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm by President B. Roehrborn
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
L. Helmrick a motion, seconded by D. Warzynski to approve the minutes from the February 12, 2024 board meeting. Motion approved 6-0.
Treasurer’s report – C. Smith gave the treasurer’s report. D. Schultz made a motion, seconded by C. Schmidt to approve the treasurer’s report. Motion approved 6-0.
Finance report: D. Johnson gave the finance report. L. Helmrick made a motion, seconded by G. Otto to approve the bills. Motion approved 6-0
Public Input- G. Otto asked the boards permission to put up a sign congratulating the boys on their win and going to state. This is to be put up past the Fire Department. G. Otto made a motion to put up this sign, Seconded by D Warzynski. Motion approved 6-0
Eliana Duessing has asked to use the board room to test water for nitrates. She is working with the Portage County Water and Land conservation board. They will be asking people to bring in a sample of their water in a clean cup and they will test it on site for level of nitrogen in their water. They will be doing this on Thursday March 28, 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm. Flyers will be going out to notify the residents.
Public Works – Discussion was held on purchasing a new/used wheel loader for snow removal. Or should we be looking at something different? Still in the works.
Fire/EMS – Stop the Bleed training was held Thursday February 22, 2024 from 3-5PM at the fire station. There was a good attendance. There will be a retirement party for Fire Chief Dan Folan on Monday June 3, 2024 at 5:00. At 6:00pm there will be a ceremony for his retirement. After that will be a swearing in ceremony for the new Fire Chief Dennis Schultz.
Properties – Have taken down 26 Ash trees so far that are infected with ash bore. Several more to be taken down. Orders from the DNR to remove these infected trees so it does not spread to other trees.

Zoning-One fence to be installed on Oak Street
Beautification – Still working on banners Prices anywhere from $80.00-$100.00 ea. G. Otto made a motion, seconded by D. Johnson to proceed with the banners. Motion approved 6-0
Media/Sewer Clerk – Nothing
Cemetery-None
Ordinance/Personnel – Discussion on hiring a new Maintenance person
